Experience at a University

Studying at a university is a big dream for many students. When I first entered, I was very excited and had high expectations. I believed I would get the best education and support for my future career. I am studying at the university my parents recommended, The campus has a library with many resources and I am grateful to be surrounded by good friends at this university.

However, not everything is perfect. The facilities, like Wi-Fi and classrooms, are not always well maintained. For example, projectors often do not work, and it takes time to fix them. There is no air conditioning, only a fan that sometimes does not work.

And I recently experienced a situation where a lecturer made sexual jokes during class. Instead of creating a friendly atmosphere, these jokes made many students feel uncomfortable and distracted from the learning process. What was supposed to be a safe space for education suddenly felt awkward.

As students, I respect our lecturers and understand that teaching is not easy. It is important to remember that classroom jokes should never cross the line of professionalism. Inappropriate jokes can harm the trust and comfort between lecturer and students.

Overall, my university has both strengths and weaknesses. I am grateful for the knowledge and friends I have gained, but I also hope the system and facilities improve.
